Employment Law and Pensions

Paul Lynch and Partners have extensive experience of advising both employers and employees in relation to the ever increasing and evolving area of employment legislation and pension entitlements and benefits.

We advise and encourage employers to establish appropriate employment policies and practices in advance of a dispute arising and in an effort to avoid having to deal with an avoidable complaint or grievance of an employee. We advise on the drafting of employment contracts and all HR policies and procedures tailored for the client’s needs, industry and circumstances.

In the event of a dispute arising we advise employers in relation to that dispute and have extensive experience of defending disputes through the courts, the Employment Appeals Tribunal and the Rights Commissioner.

We have also extensive experience of acting for employees in disputes or grievances with their employers and pursuing claims through the appropriate forum for the employee in the event of negotiations failing to achieve the required result.

We advise both employers and employees on pension scheme rules and pension benefits and rights on retirement or termination of employment by way of resignation, redundancy or dismissal.

We advise clients in relation to the following:
  • Employments Contracts
  • Policies and procedures
  • Employment Appeals Tribunal claims
  • Rights Commissioner claims
  • Labour Court disputes
  • Pension Schemes and benefits
  • Redundancy
  • Unfair Dismissal
  • Constructive Dismissal
  • Bullying and Harassment in the workplace
